How to select the right epoxy curing agent?

When I started working with a flooring company, I was given the job of selecting a good epoxy curing agent. You can imagine what tough time I faced in finding one. If you are not aware of what things you must consider before buying one, you are sure to be in a dilemma…like I was!

Now, when I have some knowledge about what an epoxy agent is and what things you must consider, I will share the information with you all-

Know the material-Firstly, you must be aware of the materials for which you will be using this product. Paints and coating surface require less epoxy because of the surface texture. Another type of epoxy is which hardens with the type of surface material. Identify the material and then decide.

Temperature must be maintained- Some epoxies like waterborne epoxy require certain kind of room temperature in where they can be at their best. Their durability factor will come, when they have their desired temperature. Some get their temperature below freezing, while others, above boiling.

The duration must be known- You must know the period in which the installation will be completed. The dry time will let you know the duration, to complete the process.

Follow the instruction- Follow all the instructions given with the epoxy curing agent and the waterborne epoxy. Mix the proper ratio and handle the surface delicately.
